About Us
WHO WE ARE?
Dubai Basketball is the first professional sports franchise representing the city of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. More than a club, we are building a movement that brings the city together, and gives our fans a team they can truly call their own.
MISSION
TO BUILD A TEAM THAT DUBAI CAN CALL HOME.
We bring together players, fans and communities from across Dubai and the nation, united by basketball and a shared sense of belonging.
We are building locally, competing internationally and creating experiences that connect our club to the people, culture and spirit of Dubai.
A city made by everyone. A team made for everyone.
HOW IT STARTED
FOUNDED IN 2023
Dubai Basketball was founded by Abdulla Saeed Juma Al Naboodah and Dejan Kamenjašević with a clear ambition: build a club capable of competing with Europe's best from day one.
In January 2024, the ABA League confirmed the club for a three-season term — and by 2025, Dubai Basketball had earned its place in the EuroLeague itself.
VISION
To build a club that belongs to everyone who calls Dubai home, represents the UAE with pride on the world stage, and becomes a lasting part of the city’s culture and identity.
We aspire to make basketball a bigger part of the lives of people across the nation - inspiring fans, developing the next generation of players and creating a community united by the game.
As Dubai’s team, we aim to grow the sport locally, represent the UAE proudly on the international stage and build a team that belongs to everyone.
